The Coach House is a hub of creativity where specialist practitioners offer workshops in a variety of media. It is a converted Georgian stables in the curtilage of a manor house. This stunning setting, with a magical private garden for botanical drawing is just a minute walk from open countryside, only 10 miles from Oxford, 8 miles from Thame and 6 miles from Bicester.
At The Coach House, I practice art and offer private classes. I produce both textile designs and landscape/seascape paintings. Although different mediums, the landscapes often echo the organic and textural aesthetic of my botanical prints. I am constantly evolving and experimenting, drawing inspiration from the beautiful local countryside but also moving into the realm of abstraction. With my botanical prints, I am truly fascinated by capturing the intimate details of plants and therefore evoking a harmonious relationship with the landscape. My private classes are inspired by my practice.
I trained at St Martin's School of Art where I completed an MA in Printed Textiles. I have over 20 years of experience teaching Fine Art and Textiles and am therefore comfortable working in a variety of media and processes. I am experienced in teaching Degree Level, Foundation Art, BTEC Art & Design, A-Level & GCSE. I have a good deal of experience in preparing portfolios for both scholarships and entry to Foundation Art and University.
